We tested some of the best body scrubs to see which left us feeling silky smooth and ready for anything!
Boots Fresh!
We based our test on effectiveness and value for money. Here are our results in traditional reverse order!
6. Clarins Eau Dynamisanse Foaming
Body Exfoliator – £16.50 for 200ml
This exfoliator does not do the Clarins name justice! It's over
perfumed and although it does smooth the skin, it didn't last long
and had no effect on rough areas like knees and elbows.
5. Virgin Vie
Spa Retreat Exfoliating Body Polish – £8.50 for
200ml
Although the effects from using this product didn't last long it
certainly left me feeling fresh and invigorated – probably
due to its seaweedy smell! More gel-like than creamy and a bit
sticky but not bad value for money.
4. Decléor
Exfoliating Body Care – £22.00 for
200ml
One of the more expensive products we tried, this body exfoliator
smelled gorgeous with almonds and aloe vera, and although by no
means a miracle cure for dry skin initial effects were good.
3. Body Shop
Quinoa & Soya Body Scrub – £6.50 for
250ml
Not the easiest product to apply but the effects did last a few
days. The plain, simple graphics of the packaging, and the smell of
honey and cream, made the product attractive and it's great value
for money too.
2. Espa
Exfoliating Body Polish – £25.50 for
200g
This is most definitely a luxury item at £25.50, but what a
treat it is! Fantastic packaging, invigorating smell of spearmint
and the result from use – silky soft skin that was smooth to
the touch. It may be expensive but it certainly does the trick!

1. Boots Fresh!
Perfect Papaya Body Scrub – £3.75 for
150ml
The winner in our best body scrub challenge! At £3.75 it's a
bargain – there's no excuse for not rushing to your local
Boots store and buying it. Smells gorgeously fruity – in fact
good enough to eat. The apricot shell effectively scrubs away dead
skin leaving you feeling soft and smooth – and a little bit
fruity too!
